August 19, 2012 CHARLTON — Exchange students from overseas that spent the summer with local host families headed back to their homelands, Tuesday, Aug. 14.
Meeting in the parking lot at Heritage School, the teens from Spain and China that came to America as part of the nonprofit exchange program Education First, hugged their host families and posed for pictures before boarding the bus. It was an emotional farewell for both the students and the local families.
Pictured, it was an emotional goodbye for Charlton resident Isabella D'Annunzio, 14.
